Bless it be the name of the Lord, my awesome readers! I pray that you all are having a wonderful weekend so far, encamped by the spirit of the God of our Salvation. Some of my family members visited me, which delayed my posts, but I thank God to have seen my loved ones again. Life is short, so we should embrace our family while we can. Most of all, as believers we should be spreading the Good News if they don’t know our Savior Jesus Christ. In this post, I want to address the work that God has been doing in my life. Lately, He’s been shaping and molding me where some of my views in previous posts have changed. First off, I’m not afraid to admit that my family and I left the church and organization that I grew up in for multiple reasons that I can’t get into in a post. Nevertheless, it was the Lord’s doing, although some may not see it that way. The fam and I still keep the Sabbath, which is on Saturdays. If it’s in the Lord’s will to be a part of another ministry, I trust that He’ll put it in my heart. As of right now, churches that I know of are all about business, but that is another post topic. Secondly, my view on women’s pastoring has changed. Don’t get me wrong I still believe that God can use anyone to draw a person near to Him. For instance, He used my two besties to draw me nearer to Him. However, when it comes down to leading a congregation I believe that 1st Timothy the 3rd chapter is pretty specific on the qualifications. With all honesty, women think emotionally while men think logically, which is why men are placed as leaders, especially in a household. That doesn’t make them superior, though, because we are all sinners who will be judged by our actions. Furthermore, my view on speaking in tongues hasn’t changed, except for the fact that tongues mean languages and not gibberish. I was given the understanding from the Most High that when the Holy Spirit fell on Pentecost the disciples and other believers there were blessed with the gift of tongues, which were different languages so that they could be understood by those who didn’t speak Galilean or whatever other language they spoke. If you’re not comprehending this, understand that the disciples couldn’t spread the Good News if they couldn’t speak other languages. I witnessed someone speaking in tongues for the first time and I recognized one of the words. If it was gibberish that others are showcasing in churches, mainly Pentecostal and mega-churches we wouldn’t be able to understand a single word because they are not words. You may disagree with me, but it’s alright because it’s all about what God thinks. I just wanted to inform you all about how awesome and true the Word of God is. He would definitely speak when you make time for Him. Life is busy and hectic, but if you devote your time to glorifying God in whatever you do it will be worth it in the end because your treasures will be laid up in heaven (Matthew 6:20).
