Discussion 42

Bless it be the name of the Lord, my awesome readers! I pray that the Lord of Hosts filled your homes with His magnificent presence over the weekend. I mentioned in my other blogs that, as true Christians, we must always address one another with love, especially when we fall short. That’s what I plan to do in this post. If some of you take this the wrong way, so be it. It needs to be said because the scripture mentions that we are without excuses (Romans 1:20). As you can tell, this post is specifically directed to believers. I often dread getting on Facebook because I always come across disappointing posts. Therefore, I try to do my part in spreading the Gospel and then get off. I’m trying to make the point that we can’t call ourselves Christians and get tangled in idolatry. It doesn’t take rocket science to figure out that when you attend a concert to see someone perform, you engage in idolatry because you’re worshipping the performer by screaming out to them or even singing their songs. Now, if you actually believe it’s not a big deal to scream out someone else’s name other than the Lord, then closely examine yourself because we should be lifting only the name of the Lord.

On top of that, I’m pretty sure that the whole Christian community knows that Beyonce doesn’t worship the omnipotent God of the Bible. If you’re unaware of what she and her husband are into, then you must live under a rock, and I don’t mean the rock of salvation. True Christians are transformed by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:2) and flee from anything that may cause separation from the Father. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we are new creatures (2 Corinthians 5:17) and no longer involve ourselves in the things that would cause disharmony to us and the Father. I couldn’t believe how many posts I’ve seen regarding the Beyonce concert by those who claim to be Christians. Sorry, not sorry. Now is no longer the time to sugarcoat anything, and I’m saying this out of love.

Is it worth listening to music that doesn’t glorify God? Is it worth worshipping entertainers that are sinners, just like the rest of us? Is it worth sacrificing your chance at eternal life with the Lord just for a few hours of worldly pleasure? Always remember that your eyes and ears are gateways. Seeds are planted in your souls from what you take in through your eyes and ears. If it’s corruption, the devil will use it against you when seeking God. I pray that someone is being convicted by this message. This is serious,  my brothers and sisters! Stop doing things, listening to music, and watching movies or shows that are getting you further away from God because we are nothing without Him. Celebrities are telling lies that Jesus isn’t the only way. Don’t listen to them. Only seek God for answers and peace. We need to be at a place with God where death is no longer a concern. If you feel that you’re not ready to die or prefer to live longer in this world, you really need to check yourself. True Christians anticipate the coming of King Jesus and hate every wickedness in this world. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain (Philippian 1:21). Please, brothers and sisters, come out from the world and seek God with your whole heart. Living a holy life is not boring at all; in fact, it’s peaceful. I pray that someone is inspired by this message because it didn’t come from me. Stay encouraged and strong in the Lord. Comment below because I would love to read your thoughts. Until next time, may the Lord bless thee and keep thee. Love you. Shalom.
