Ezekiel 19: 14-18 Now, lo, if he beget a son, that seeth all his father’s sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like, that hath not eaten upon mountains, neither hath lifted his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, hath not defiled his neighbor’s wife, neither hath oppressed any, hath not withholden the pledge, neither hath spoiled by violence, but hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment, that hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live. As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.
Bless it be the name of the Lord, my beautiful readers! I pray that you’re enjoying your weekend so far. All those who keep the feasts of the Lord I pray that you’re Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets) was glorious and joyful. I had an awesome time with my 4 kiddies and my oldest daughter accomplished blowing the shofar on her fourth try by the grace of God. Yom Teruah is exciting because it depicts the caught up of the saints and the second coming of our King Yeshua Hamashiach. It’s a rejoicing time, especially for those who are anticipating His arrival. As John said in Revelation 22: 20, “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” My parents raised me in a church organization keeping the Father’s laws, statutes, the Sabbath, and all feast days in the Old and New Testament. Nevertheless, it didn’t have meaning to me as it does now because I was young and without knowledge. It was when I decided to devote my life to Yeshua Hamashiach that I realized I couldn’t dwell in the presence of Yahweh by the influence of my parents and church organization. I needed to learn of God for myself, understand His Word for myself, and take the route to build my house on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ. Sadly, the church organization doesn’t fit on the path, and that’s okay because my inheritance is not through them or my parents. Some groups believe that they are already written in the Book of Life through their lineage when that is inaccurate. For starters, coming from an unbelieving family doesn’t have to make you an unbeliever and you certainly won’t be accountable for your parent’s sins. If you believe that your church, pastor, parents, or anyone else are your ticket to eternal life with the Father, clearly you have been misinformed. Family, whether blood or not, doesn’t determine your actions. Yes, they are powerful influences on your actions, but Yahweh gave us choices. In other words, you won’t inherit the kingdom of God through lineage. Your own relationship with Yeshua Hamashiach and your obedience to Him will determine your eternal destination. So, make the choice to serve Him and only Him, who is not slack concerning His promise (2 Peter 3:9). Be encouraged people, and trust in only God as this world grows wicked by the second.
